Here it rained and stayed green all summer, right up until the 2nd week of August for the first time in my lifetime. Then the tap turned off until last week.

Then we got so much that I now have toadstools popping up in the backyard! I've had them other places in the yard before, but not there!

The trees are still green and in full leaf, and I'm actually beginning to fear the first snow/ice will catch them and then we'll really be in trouble!

Good books, good movies, and a blanket...bring on the rain!

hi kelly,
nah, used to live there, but am now farther up the coast in a town (with a new "super port") where it rains even more than it does in van....i can usually deal with it, but it seems to have been a particularly wet, grey year.

alan,
:) that's the problem. it's all i want to do when it rains, and it seems like it rains every day. i'm feeling like a hermit (one with webbed feet)...

If you really have the webbed feet then you are ready for a trip to Venice...

(from one of my all time favorite books, Jeanette Winterson's "The Passion"; according to it the offspring of the gondoliers have webbed feet)

:o)

Meet you at St. Mark's?

(don't I wish!)

yup! ya, i saw the weather report this morning and cursed the rest of the prvince for getting sunshine today, while here it's still...you guessed it...raining :)

i love the cool, crisp, sunny fall days of van... great memories of trampling through the fallen leaves along the sea wall at stanley park.

I think I got a bit of a sunburn down here in Vancouver today. I do know that the bright yellow thing in the sky made me squint all afternoon.
